A clean pet is a happy pet.

We want to take this opportunity to welcome you, your family and your special family member(s) to the Gardner Animal Care Center’s Grooming Service. Our experienced and professional groomers help provide for the beauty, health, and welfare of your cherished pets. Many pet owners are unaware that a typical full-grooming performed by our team consists of an external inspection, consultation with the owner, nail trimming & filing, ear cleaning, bathing, conditioning treatment, and styling.

We take great pleasure in seeing our clients beam with delight as they leave with their pets looking fresh, clean, comfortable and stylish. However, we are equally pleased to know that we are helping to add to the quality and longevity of that special relationship.

The caring staff at Gardner Animal Care Center grooms both dogs and cats. We can perform any unique style requested by a pet’s Pet Parent as long as the pet’s coat, personal demeanor, and medical condition are favorable to the request.

Kristen L. Johnson, Groomer

Kristen’s grooming career started when she was a senior in high school where she was given the opportunity to help a breeder groom her show collies. She has always had a love for all animals. She grew up being surrounded by dogs and horses. She rode and competed until the age of 17 with her Morgan named Buddy who she got when she was 6-years-old, and her Canadian Sport Horse named Ona, who she got when she was 15-years-old. When she wasn’t riding, she spent most of her time with her two dogs, an Australian shepherd named Squatty, and her Dachshund named Rozzie. When she realized it was dogs she enjoyed spending the most time with and discovered her passion for grooming, she set out to make this her career. She then got a job at a grooming salon in Marlborough, NH. Eager to learn as much as she could, she left there after about a year and went to grooming school at the Whole Pet Grooming Academy in Peterborough, NH. Here she was taught all the different cuts and patterns and even learned how to groom cats as well.
