To the Gardner Animal Care Center Family,

Words cannot express how honored I am to have been able to take care of your pets since joining the team 24 plus years ago. It truly has been my pleasure to celebrate and cultivate the family-pet-veterinary bond in the Gardner community and surrounding towns.

It is with conflicted emotions that I write this letter informing you that as of July 31, 2020, I will be retiring from clinical practice. While it is exciting for me to be taking on a new challenge within the veterinary industry, it is with a heavy heart that I am stepping away from seeing appointments and caring for your pets. It has always been my dream to help improve the longevity of our pets by keeping them happy and healthy. I believe in our motto: Come Join Our Family – A Lifetime Relationship. You and your pets will always be a part of my extended GACC family.

The GACC has been my home away from home and I look forward to continuing to help the GACC continue to grow and serve your pets in my next role. As I start my new journey, I know deep in my soul that Dr. McTigue and I have created a culture that allows the very best for our team, our clients and your pets. Dr. McTigue will continue caring for your pets with the help of Dr. Miller, Dr. Warner, and our new associate, Dr. Shamburger. We will continue working on adapting to this ever-changing world and make sure the GACC continues serving this wonderful community.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for trusting me and laughing and crying with me over the years. My time at the GACC as a clinician will never be forgotten and I will continue to monitor how all my patients and clients are doing. You have all meant the world to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Take Care,

Dr. Brian Hurley

PS. An update for those of you that have met or heard me speak about my daughter, Madison. She is starting her next journey as a first-year veterinary student at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She has vowed to be the best doctor in our family. Go Gators!!
