Animal Care Technicians

Kacie Ortiz, Supervisor

Prior to joining the GACC team as an Animal Care Technician, Kacie worked as a PCA for two years. When her client moved away, she decided to take her career path in a new direction and follow her dream of working with animals. In 2013, she started working for GACC, and in 2015 she received her Veterinary Assistant Certificate. She has worked in a variety of capacities during her time here including: grooming, boarding and daycare. She also enjoys training dogs, including her lovable Golden Retriever Kayden, and has even trained her cat, Waffle.

Some of Kacie's favorite things include crafting, fishing, reading, cars and spending time with family.

She also co-owns a small business, Lamzy Divy Handmade, with her sister-in-law, Bailey. Together they make and sell specialty soaps and other handcrafted items.

Gina Cuzzi, Supervisor

Gina has been with Gardner Animal Care Center as an ACT since April 2015. She is currently attending Mount Wachusett in the Allied Health Program. At an early age, Gina knew she wanted to work in either the human or animal health care field. Gina lives in a small town in New Hampshire with her family, boyfriend and two dogs, Molly and Xena. Molly is a very chubby and friendly chihuahua mix. Xena thinks she's a lapdog but is actually a Great Dane/Cane Corso mix.

Gina enjoys photographing her dog Xena as well as all the fantastic daycare dogs. In her spare time, you won't find Gina without her shadow Xena. The two love to go on walks, hikes and swimming.

Chelsea Richard

Chelsea joined the boarding and daycare team at the Gardner Animal Care Center in June 2016. She has always had a passion for animals, being around dogs and cats all of her life, her enthusiasm for the job is apparent. Currently, she has two cats named Charlotte and Shadow.

She graduated from Assumption College in 2013 with a degree in psychology. She is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, where she trains and teaches classes part-time at Fitness Concepts in Gardner. She is big into crossfit and competes in many competitions.

Currently, Becca is going to school to continue her education in the animal field and enjoys reading, music, and snuggling up with her two dogs, Abby and Audie. She's always been excited to be a part of the GACC family, and will be happy to do her part and more when it comes to taking care of your fur babies!
